Gavin McGee is an attorney in private practice in Houston, Texas. He has over 25 years combined experience in construction management and construction law. After receiving a degree in construction management from Texas A&M University, and prior to entering the practice of law, he worked in the commercial construction industry in Houston for 10 years as a project manager and estimator for general contractors and subcontractors on public and private projects (commercial and institutional), including schools, hospitals, warehouses, office buildings, retail facilities, fuel storage facilities and high-end office build-outs.

Gavin is a past Chair of the Construction Law Section of the Houston Bar Association, was recognized as a “Rising Star” in Texas construction law by Texas Monthly in 2006 and 2007, and was recommended in Chambers USA’s Construction Law section in 2008 and 2009.

He is a current member of the Construction Law Sections of the State and Houston Bar Associations, as well as their litigation and ADR sections, the Associated General Contractors, the Associated Builders and Contractors, the American Institute of Constructors, the American Council for Construction Education, the Construction Industry Advisory Council for Texas A&M University, and a Fellow of the Houston Bar Foundation. He is a frequent author and speaker on construction law topics for industry professionals, attorneys and students.
